After graduating from Sonoma State University , I went on to Chapman University to complete the Teaching Credential program.
I grew up in Napa and was involved with 4-H during my childhood. During college I spent a semester in England as an exchange student and had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and to see the famous sites.
I love gardening, traveling, walking, and camping. My husband Scott and I live in Napa with our dog, cat and our two children.
I teach Language Arts and Science. My classroom is filled with a collection of interesting animals (I am not referring to the students) which seems to attract many students during the breaks.
This is now my 11th year at River School.
I began my teaching career as the Director of Connolly Ranch here in Napa where I organized environmental and educational programs for the local schools at the ranch. I worked with the students from Westwood Elementary (now NVLA) and helped train them to be docents for the program. I then taught a year at Northwood Elementary and then moved to Browns Valley where I taught 4th graders for three years.
I’m impressed with the sense of community and pride that is displayed by the students.
