Professional History:

It is great to have a safe environment where everyone is free to learn and express themselves. I did not have this when I went to middle school. A small community also allows people to feel known and not overlooked by anyone. River feels like a home to me, and I have only been here a few weeks.

I came to NVUSD from a private practice where I worked in both the school and the hospital settings.

I am new to River School this year and am thrilled to be here.

I believe that every child deserves to learn in an environment where they are respected for who they are individually.  I believe it is essential to know what goes on in their heads, what excites them, and makes them laugh.  What are their fears, their likes, and dislikes?  If we hope that students will become lifelong learners, we need to make sure that they enjoy learning.

River School is the people within its walls.  They are warm, loving, bright and concerned.  Anyone who has experienced River can attest to this.
